«Ich glaube wirklich an leere Räume, obwohl ich als Künstler viel Müll produziere. Ein leerer Raum ist nie vergeudeter Raum. Ein vergeudeter Raum ist jeder Raum, in dem Kunst ist. Ein Künstler ist jemand, der Sachen produziert, die keiner haben muss. Er nimmt aus irgendeinem Grund jedoch an, es sei eine gute Idee, seine Mitmenschen mit Kunst zu versorgen. Auf der einen Seite glaube ich also wirklich an leere Räume, aber auf der anderen Seite mache ich, weil ich immer noch Kunst mache, immer noch für andere Müll, den sie dann in ihre Räume tragen, die, wie ich meine, eigentlich leer bleiben sollten.»

„I really believe in empty spaces, although, as an artist, I make a lot of junk. Empty space is never-wasted space. Wasted space is any space that has art in it.
An artist is somebody who produces things that people don’t need to have but that he—for some reason—thinks it would be a good idea to give them.
Business Art is a much better thing to be making than Art Art, because Art Art doesn’t support the space it takes up, whereas Business Art does.
